I’d asked Virginia to assess my manuscript ‘Coming Home’ when a publisher advised having it
professionally appraised.
Virginia was able to provide some insightful, gentle editing which enabled the manuscript to
be accepted for publication.
Virginia recognised the book filled a gap regarding picture books featuring mental illness and
I’m sure stating this fact in her recommendation letter also helped to get the book ‘over the line’.
